Rules and Regulations

To ensure that our facility remains top-notch and that your experience is exceptional every time you visit, we kindly ask that you follow the rules and regulations outlined below. These guidelines are in place to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all. If you have any questions or need clarification on any of the rules, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Kart Owner Rules

  • Karts and cars are to always remain separate. No cars can drive on the kart pit lane, or when karts are active.
  • Separate, kart specific waivers must be signed by drivers, at the kart sign in area.
  • No sharing of driver wristbands. Sharing a wristband will result in a one-year suspension. Wristbands are provided for insurance purposes.
  • Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to race and may be removed from the premises.
  • Reckless driving will not be permitted.  
  • Do not stop on track.
  • Nobody other than SMK staff can open the barriers/ cones for track access – no exceptions.
  • Helmets and appropriate safety gear must always be worn.
  • All cameras must be securely fastened at all times, even during practice days.
  • Suits must be kart rated. No automotive suits.
  • All ballast needs to be painted white and marked with the name of the driver and the kart number.
  • Abusive behavior to the track staff or other drivers will result in dismissal for the day and possible penalties, including but not limited to suspension.
  • Please treat your fellow drivers with respect on track, everyone has the right to racing room.

Rental Kart Rules

  • No one under the age of 15 and shorter than 56 inches is allowed to race.
  • Drivers must wear their issued wristband on their wrist.
  • Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to race and may be removed from the premises.
  • Drivers are advised to empty their pockets and secure their valuables.
  • All drivers must listen to the safety talk before driving.
  • Karts will be assigned by your instructor.
  • Helmets must always be worn.
  • Long hair must be tucked, in some form or fashion.
  • Seat belts must always be worn.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required.
  • Do not stop on track.
  • If your kart stalls for any reason, put your hands in the air to signal a marshal.
  • Always try to brake/ slow in a straight line on approach to a corner.
  • No bumping or blocking of any kind. Kart contact is not allowed. Driver may receive a black flag and may result in your removal from the kart/ event.
  • For your safety, stay in your Kart until track staff signals you to get up.
  • Please respect your fellow drivers and have fun.
